Packing List

1. Chair(s)
2. Shade/shelter
3. Miscellaneous tools (bring zip ties, duct tape and your bikes tool kit... just in case)
4. Extra fuel
5. If you are coming to the track by yourself, it would be a good idea to keep lines of communication open with family or friends, just in case an incident were to occur.
6. Remember your bike key ...it happens!

This all gets much easier once you attend your first trackday or two. If you have a problem, the APEX staff, and usually your fellow riders, will do what they reasonably can to help you. The items listed above are covered in greater detail below.


MISC.

Fuel – Petrol tops the list here. Plan on draining two full tanks of it; at least 8 gallons, probably 10 and possibly 12. Speed is thirsty. You'll be getting about ½ your normal MPG. Some tracks have fuel available, but when you see the price you'll think you're in Europe somewhere wishing you were an Italian gazillionaire.

Tools – At least have your bike kit with you. The more track time you do the more elaborate your tool box and spare parts cache will become. The serious enthusiast will have extra brake pads, clutch and brake levers, a full tool box, accurate pressure gages, handy wipes, cleaners, tape, zip ties, etc.

The Rest – If you pack like you're headed out for a day at the beach or a day in the mountains you'll be fine. We're talking chairs, shade, food, water, sunscreen, blah blah blah.

RIDER

If this will be your first trackday ever, then know that we've all been there. It's exciting and terrifying. You have no idea what to expect. If you have questions, ask them. If you're concerned about something, grab one of us and express it. We're all on the same learning curve.

In reality you're quite prepared for your first trackday. You're a competent street rider. You're excited which is good, and the terrifying aspects of this have caused you to focus which is even better (how many times have you stared at your tire wondering if it will pass tech?)

We'll get you safely up to speed, and some time during the first track session you'll be wondering why you hadn't joined us sooner.
